Women's Ministries at North Way

Neighborhood Groups Small groups that meet in homes and coffee shops all around the community for Bible study and fellowship. Each group chooses their own curriculum and meeting time. Groups meet weekly for 1-2 years.

North Way believes that small groups are where we make some of our greatest connections and where life-change happens best! North Way has a variety of group opportunities specifically for women. Neighborhood groups meet in various locations throughout the city. Leaders & open group information is always available online on the Small Group Finder.



Care Groups

North Way Counseling Center offers a variety of specialized support ministries specifically designed to help in concentrated areas. Such as Addiction Recovery groups, Purity groups, Marriage groups, Prayer groups, and Financial Peace University. Groups usually meet at the church and are led by individuals trained through the Counseling Center.

Healing Life’s Hurts Women’s Group (Wexford Campus) - Monday Nights
Prayer ministry is a way to remove the things that are holding you back, and learn more about the depths of God’s love and healing power for you. Under the supervision of Pastor John Syes and his prayer ministry leadership team, highly trained prayer ministers are available by appointment to lead you through prayer to grasp the freedom that only Jesus wants for your life.



Life Stressors: Hurt Meets Hope (Oakland Campus) - Thursday Nights
A discussion group for women, focused on life pressures, past, present and future, that can lead to issues of self-worth, depression/anxiety, and difficulty making life decisions. Led by professional therapist, Kathy Leeper, LCSW from North Way Counseling Services. A donation will be collected before each session. Meets Thursdays 4pm for 8 weeks starting Feb 3.



Study Groups

Classes that focus on a particular curriculum taught by a live instructor/facilitator that lasts for 6-12 weeks. Usually meet at the church during a service time.

Moore & More Women's Bible Study (Wexford & Sewickley Valley Campuses)
Structured around video, workbook, and small group discussion by several well known national speakers such as Beth Moore and Priscilla Shirer. This ministry meets once a week for 7 - 8 week sessions. (Wexford & Sewickley Valley Campuses).

SHE Monthly Gatherings (Oakland Campus)
SHE is the women’s ministry of North Way Oakland. SHE’s monthly gatherings are a place for women of all different ages and seasons of life to come together in faith, love, and community. SHE provides opportunities for women to know Christ, connect with other women and impact others. At each of the once-a-month meetings women will participate in both large and small group times. SHE believes in the importance of studying God’s Word, and each month, SHE will study topics that are relevant to us, as women. Meets the first Wednesday of every month 7pm, beginning in October.




MOSAIC (Wexford Campus)
Mosaic is a mom’s group where you can meet other moms, hear great speakers talk about things that are relevant to you and receive encouragement and support in a small group atmosphere. Join us as we explore the Art of Motherhood ~ the diverse elements that make us all unique, as well as the common thread that brings us all together! All moms welcome! Meets 7-9pm the first Tuesday of every month starting in September.

Mothers of Preschoolers—MOPS (Wexford Campus)
Mothers of Preschoolers—MOPS (Wexford Campus) MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognize that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. MOPS help moms through relationships established in the context of local groups that provide a caring atmosphere for today's mother of young children. We regularly feature guest speakers and have thriving discussion groups. Our North Way MOPS group requires a Pre-registration.

Meets twice/mo. 9–11:15 am.

WoW (Wexford Campus)
WoW is a place for Christian women to meet and fellowship with one another in order to grow in our faith and love for our Savior, Jesus Christ. WoW is designed specifically for women who wish to grow in their faith and their walk with Christ, by reaching outward towards others, turning their hearts and minds upwards together in prayer and worship to their Heavenly Father, while looking inward, further examining their own hearts through prayer and study of the Word of God.
First and third Thursdays, 9:30-11:30am, Student Lounge, Wexford Campus.
